Germany to El Gouna - A Flying Adventure

We at G.A.S.E. are very honoured to be working with the 3 Capes Challenge as part of their team during their Egypt and Sudanese legs. We have been liaising with them for a while and are looking forward to the start of the final leg of their... venture...UK to Cape Town in a Robinson R44 helicopter. Our Next Client a Test for our New Fuel System

We have been busy this last month working with a flight arriving from Europe which will be heading to Sudan and further south next week. The aircraft, a Piper PA-32-301XTC, registered OY-PHT, is carrying three crew and will be arriving at Arish Airport (HEAR) on the 21st may and then flying to Luxor (HELX) the same day where they will overnight before departing for Sudan on the 22nd.

A New Role for G.A.S.E.?

24 hours after receiving the news that Avgas would be unavailable anywhere in Egypt, south of Cairo, we are more than pleased to announce that after a day of remarkable negotiations, G.A.S.E. is now able to supply Avgas almost anywhere in the country (Mogas too). We are in fact the only people who can do this at the moment…a great achievement for our team, once again fighting hard to keep GA alive across the region.

We are pleased to announce that we are in conversation with a couple of pilots, Andreas Zmuda and Doreen Kroeber, to assist them in Egypt and elsewhere when they depart on their circumnavigation of the globe in a trike microlight. Why does the title say 'planning ahead'?
Well, although they depart from the USA in July this year they do not intend to reach Egypt until 2014!

New Client Announced.

We can finally announce that we have a new client who WILL be coming to October Airport (HEOC). Although we regularly are dealing with aircraft and pilots flying through the region, it is always a special occasion when we get an arrival at HEOC.
The aircraft arriving is a Flight Design CTSW 3 axis Microlight and has a really pretty design. A first for HEOC I imagine.

Everyone who knows about G.A.S.E. has heard of Peter Kelsey, ferry pilot and long time friend, supporter and colleague who inspired us to set GASE up way back in 2010. We are therefore happy to announce that he is in good health following his devastating crash in Northern Ireland on the 7th March.

Embraer Arrives At Its New Home

We are happy to announce that our client, Captain Jason Ryder and his crew and passengers have arrived safely back at their home base in Brisbane, Australia. We supplied their permits, handling and transport whilst they were in Cairo plus worked with their own agency to ensure overfly permits in the Middle east.

Praise Indeed

Our clients, Roland Rebetez and Charles Azmy have returned home to Switzerland in their Mooney M20R, HB-DIO after their flight to the General Aviation Expo in Abu Dhabi. We were able to provide all landing permits and overfly permissions for them in the Middle East and also arrange the handling and accomodation for them during their night stops in Luxor.

CarolAnn: Aviatrix Extraordinaire

We are pleased and relieved to announce that our friend and client, CarolAnn Garratt has finally arrived home after a years flight around the world. This was her third circumnavigation and she broke the record for time around the world on her second flight...8 days 12 hours! All flights were done in her own Mooney M20J, N220FC.


She arrived back to her home airfield, where she lives, in Florida 2 days ago and is already planning to attend the famous Sun n Fun airshow at lakeland, FLA, very so...

A Number of Firsts for G.A.S.E.

The 8th of March 2012 saw Eddie, Ahmed and Paul from G.A.S.E. waiting at Terminal 4, Cairo International Airprot, for their first jet arrival. Not only would it be our first handling of a jet aircarft but the first time we have used Terminal 4 and in fact the first time we have had a true arrival at Cairo International.
The aircraft was an Embraer 135 belonging to Australian Executive charter company, JetGo, and was being ferried from the USA to Australia by company owner Jason Ryder.

We have been following Earthrounder CarolAnn Garratt since she stayed with us for 6 days in November 2011. Some of you may remember her presentation at the Fairmont. A Job Well Done!

We can now announce that HB-DIO, the Mooney M20R Ovation that we have been working with since early December has arrived safely at Abu Dhabi where the two pilots will be staying and exhibiting at the General Aviation Exhibition 2012.

Latest Clients Arrive at Luxor.

We have been working with a group of pilots from Europe since early in December last year, organizing their flight with two Mooney M20’s from France to the General Aviation Exhibition at Abu Dhabi.
