We have been busy this last month working with a flight arriving from Europe which will be heading to Sudan and further south next week. The aircraft, a Piper PA-32-301XTC, registered OY-PHT, is carrying three crew and will be arriving at Arish Airport (HEAR) on the 21st may and then flying to Luxor (HELX) the same day where they will overnight before departing for Sudan on the 22nd.
Our part in their journey has been up to now straight forward, sorting out handling, route planning and obtaining permits. Straightforward that is until the avgas situation reared its ugly head a few days ago. We have to expect no avgas at Luxor and that means we have put into action our new 'avgas supply system'. This is the first time we have used our new system and at the moment we are depending on a number of outside agencies to fulfil their promises, so fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly.
We will report on how it went after our part in their flight is over.
